// Precision.

Alignment is the stage where a mistake stays invisible until the reels are cut from it, so it is the one with a harness of its own. Against an event a person aligned by hand and delivered, it placed 50 of 91 clips within a single frame — and of the ones beyond that, it marked all but five for checking.

A clip it cannot verify is flagged, never quietly placed. The rule the whole module rests on is that no clip may be both wrong and unflagged.

// Assist.

It is called an assistant on purpose. It does the pass — the hours of mechanical work between coming home with cards and having something to cut. It does not replace the person who knows which moment of the night was the one.

Three calls stay yours, and the tool is built to make each of them fast rather than to hide it:

• 01The drops Placed as markers you can audition, move or delete in Resolve. It reads them back the way you left them.
• 02The sync Anything it cannot verify is flagged rather than guessed. Aligned it yourself, in Resolve or Syncaila? Read Sync from Timeline takes your alignment and carries on from there.
• 03The reels Every cut lands on a timeline you watch before you render. Nothing is exported behind your back.

On a clean event with a good board recording you may change nothing. On a hard one — drones with no sound, a camera whose clock lies, a distorted feed — you will, and the tool tells you where to look instead of letting you find out in the render.

// Requirements.

macOS, Intel or Apple Silicon. DaVinci Resolve Studio 18 or later — the free edition has no scripting API, so it cannot be driven. ffmpeg travels inside the app; there is nothing else to install.

// Price.

This build is Intel, and runs on Apple Silicon through Rosetta 2 — everything works, analysis is slower. A native Apple Silicon build is on the way; there have to be two, because numpy and scipy publish no universal binaries.

On first launch macOS will refuse to open it. Go to System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom, and click Open Anyway. Once, and never again. Control-clicking no longer works — macOS 15 removed that route for apps without an Apple Developer ID, and we do not have one yet.
